@gamingonlinux That's perfectly useful, if we still can't play GTA:O on Steam Deck...

TruckStopSantaClaus

@gamingonlinux Honestly, I'd say they're kinda doing you a favor by blocking gta online. It's one of the most toxic gaming experiences I've ever had.

Today, I spent 3 hours and ended up with about 5 lines of code.

The code works, success. Took forever to get there.

Fluchtkapsel (Abonnement)

@ThePlant I had this feeling several times. I know now first-hand that the number of lines of code don't count as much as the thoughts that went in there.

All I wanted was to add a link inside the tag system we have on @gamingonlinux for games on articles, so we can quickly go and edit if needed after tagging.

3 hours to figure it out lmao, but yay done.

I hate that anything is exclusive to one PC store over another, but this is better than Epic I suppose

@gamingonlinux At least it's GoG.

As pros:
- No DRM (generally).

Cons:
- Worse Linux support.

@gamingonlinux very odd seeing GOG having the exclusive this time. Even though I am partial to gog I still find it odd/concerning to see exclusives from them. Hopefully its a timed exclusive?

@gamingonlinux Their products still don't make any sense. A Raspi 5 8gb model with M.2 hat, 256gb SSD, power adapter and necessary cooling puts me just below 200โ‚ฌ.
For that price I can get a x86-based Mini-PC with way more power, way more reliable features (like WPA3 and AV1 support) and more upgradeability. Or hell, even 3 to 4 used Mini-PCs with the same power.

Instead of their original goal (cheap & accessible) they went for growth and profit, even going public. Sad to see.

@gamingonlinux aaaand here's a "nice" bug poking its head around the corner...

While in game, when I press the Steam button, the overlay flickers making it impossible to use.

Just in case, I've also disabled CSS Loader

I *hate* extra launchers on Steam.

Ubisoft sent me Assassin's Creed Mirage via Steam Curator, but I can't actually launch it as it needs an Activation Key which they don't seem to have supplied <_<

WHY is this still a thing in 2024. Just verify ownership via Steam.
