Camilla will never stop trying to get snuggles from Dolores. She succeeds for about sixty seconds at a time. #CatsOfMastodon Today is Dolores's 9th birthday (observed). Seven years ago, we got on an NYCACC adoption van and fell hopelessly in love with a two-year-old, scrawny, quiet, nervous little tabby girl, who has since grown fluffy, stout, talkative, and bold, the green-eyed queen of our hearts. #CatsOfMastodon Two fluffy cats, sacked out after a week visiting grandma. #CatsOfMastodon #Caturday Camilla is the only person I know who can look regal with her tongue out. #CatsOfMastodon #FloofyFriday Our local bodega calico was sweetly lounging in a pile of Bronx weeds. 💖 I love her. #CatsOfMastodon When Camilla feels like her dinner should be an hour earlier, she tries all kinds of ploys for attention. She headbutts, nips, threads between your legs, and, occasionally, does circus tricks. #CatsOfMastodon Camilla loved hiding under this little stepstool when she was a 2-lb. kitten. As a 14-lb. cat, she has rediscovered the stepstool and wears it like a turtle's shell. #CatsOfMastodon Keep seeing this beautiful baby on the street outside my apartment. I love him. #CatsOfMastodon The cats both love to watch the litter robot cycle around. At the beginning of this video, Camilla does a full-body shiver-stretch that we call "a delight" because she only does it when something makes her wildly happy, like a big hug or a favorite snack. She has done it since she was a tiny kitten, and our older cat Dolores learned it from her. (Dolores does a delight if she finds a sunbeam or finishes an undisturbed nap.) #CatsOfMastodon I just caught Dolores gloating over this stinky tennis shoe. True love. #CatsOfMastodon 12
