Though VK's version also works correctly if you type your query in a wrong keyboard layout. As in, "jktu" when you meant "олег". VK can do this trivially since 99% of its target audience has two known keyboard layouts — English QWERTY and Russian ЙЦУКЕН. I can't do it this easily... I'll be especially clueless if you set your language to English, which some Russians actually do.  Yay. PS, just in case anyone needs to detect languages, this covers 800+ … https://github.com/redaktor/languages @grishka Ok now I'm curious to see how it handles non russian cyrillic characters like љ, њ, ђ, џ or ћ

Oh nice, that idea plugin for pebble/twig templates actually shows usage of java things in templates! And renaming a field also renames it in templates! 🤯 Though that plugin isn't without annoyances, like its insistence on properly weird indentation.

In case someone else needs it: here's one with many, MANY cat pictures. #Smithereen loaded it fully using the search field (that I still haven't finished 🌚), but when Engen retooted one of the posts, it didn't load the parent ones — I should fix that.

My favorite thing about Misskey is that when I click "Note" to post a new post, the background behind the modal gets blurred and the fan spins up because of a small animated blinking green dot on "announcements".  If you build a multi-processor system out of Intel Atoms, you'll end up with an Intel Molecule #Smithereen update: the newsfeed now shows when your friends add friends and join groups. This feature is very important for a social network focused on communication between people (as opposed to people and celebrities/brands/meme pages/whatever). Actually, VK still has this, except it's buried in a not very noticeable "updates" tab. I copied a very old layout that predates the microblogging functionality aka "Дуров, верни стену".  #Smithereen update, now that the heat has subsided and I'm capable of thinking again. User actors now have `friends` and `groups` collections. These collections contain links to someone's friends and groups for easy synchronization in the future. Also, actors now send their followers Add and Remove activities for these collections when they add/remove friends and join/leave groups. This lays the foundation for an upcoming feature ;) Imagine how disappointed someone would be if they go looking for a place to buy a fan and find onlyfans |
