I think it also can genuinely be used as a tool for self development. This doesnt have to depend on it being literally true. There are enough moving parts that move at different speeds thats its easy to map important parts of wisdom tradition onto. Theres a big slow moving thing that comes around every three decades of your life that is explained as something to take opportunity to reflect on big themes and remap. Small things come by and theme your introspection for a week or a month.
