He required several tranquillizer shots before pain and paw could be attended to. We can now confirm that, after three days of jumpiness and drug high, the ordeal is finally over, and the fretful feline is back to his usual quiescent and peaceable self.

The human tied a piece of wood to a ribbon and now Miko (Gloucestershire, UK) has a whole new toy! He keeps jumping on it, to make sure his humans know the games are not yet over. Doug (Somerset, UK) has been honing his hunting skills lately, by sitting at the top of the stairs and trying to catch his human’s feet. They don’t seem to enjoy it as much as he does.  @cat_news This is considered the pinnacle of comedy in cat circles, akin to Noel coward at his most witty. On discovering an ant in the house, Pippin (BC, Canada) decided it was too big. So rather than doing anything about it, or even try and play with it, he just watched it. Its hot this weekend, so Pippin (BC, Canada) came to grumpily join his human on the bed next to the fan. Keep cool out there! Freddie (Kentucky, USA) has been gifted his own personal swivel chair, which he now prefers over his favorite spot on the cat tree. Unfortunately, his human does not seem to understand the concept of a "gift" and frequently removes him to sit in his place despite his valiant effort to cling to the chair and bite his human's hands. A great tragedy has befallen Cooper (Ontario, Canada). He cannot reach his toy. Although he may reach for it, the toy remains forever out of reach and there is nothing he can possibly do about it. A magpie was merrily eating the slightly unripe cherries on the cherry tree. It picked off a leaf that was in its way and threw it to the ground. Yogi (Buckinghamshire, UK) swiftly raced across the garden to pounce on the leaf. He wasn't going to have random leaves floating around his garden! It wasn’t clear where Kim (Somerset, UK) had disappeared to until, after several hours, she emerged from her cat carrier and had a nice big stretch. Turns out she wasn’t out adventuring, she had spent the whole time sleeping. It was an exciting start to the day yesterday, as Pippin (BC, Canada) decided to get things going by pouncing on absolutely nothing on the bed, over and over. He was very successful at waking his human and hunting his imaginary prey. Axl (Alberta, Canada) was in a really playful mood one evening recently. He sat in a cardboard box while his human threw him little soft balls that he ping ponged back. Then he ran all over the living room. Then he raced up to his perch. Then his tail made the curtains move which made him jump. Since tail was to blame, he then started chasing it like a kitten! Afterwards he curled up like a big old lion and napped until his next spurt of energy. Cubert (Oregon, USA) likes to lie across the top of the armchair like a big orange head pillow. He has even stopped biting people’s heads when they sit in the chair. Minty (BC, Canada) has been having trouble concentrating lately and keeps chewing on the end of her pencil instead of doing any work. Luckily she is only little, so her human isn’t expecting much work from her anyway. Salem (Hampshire, UK) gets very excited when the knitting bag appears! He knows he can help by grabbing on to as many balls of yarn he can find, but especially by wrapping himself in measuring tape. Thank you Salem! It’s raining, but Domino (Ontario, Canada) isn’t convinced its a bad day to go outside until his human has held him up to look out the house. Its easier to tell the weather from up high. The other day Kameo (Alberta, Canada) was chilling on his cat tree and all the sudden out of nowhere, he burped up chunk of saliva. It was the weirdest split second ordeal. He was absolutely perplexed and couldn’t process what happened. He sat there with his chin tucked to his chest looking down at the saliva chunk for so long then he repeatedly ever so slowly moved his paw up to it and each time swiftly pulled it away before touching it. He truly was shocked by what happened. In a shocking first, Pippin (BC, Canada) has actually caught something! He expertly chased and grabbed a fly right out of the air. Greatest hunter ever. |
