 Really want to start working on designing a fediverse client app that has first class support for all the non microblogging stuff. I am not a programmer and I have no intention to start but I do have a mind filled with ideas I want to see in the world and an eye for design and UX/UI. I want it to be community guided from the beginning. If anyone has interest in colabing on a wireframe please @ me. I discovered today that @prologic has added #ActivityPub support to their twtxt server software https://yarn.social and its largest instance https://twtxt.net essentially bridging the #fediverse and twtxt networks together. If you are unfamiliar with #twtxt, it is a different take on decentralized microblogging that has been around for many years, and it is quite interesting to see it now bridged between this side and that one!  @liaizon@social.wake.st @prologic@twtxt.net That is neat.  Such a big tent that the first thing they did was turn off federation.
All the non federated sites are dead to me. about to drive to #Tenneessee and #Alabama with @lake and two friends for a job for the week. this is gonna be an adventure for sure! The Netherlands is doing a pilot program to supply #fediverse accounts for all Dutch university students! :fediverse: to folks concerned about cloudflare releasing their own fediverse server called #wildebeest looks like they imported Mastodon's front end. the project is just two people from cloudflare working on it that started last week. anyway its interesting that its happening. this year is gonna be a rollercoster as new players join the #fediverse. I think a LOT of projects and companies are gonna jump on this bandwagon in the coming year and we should be prepared  Why would anyone trust a fediverse server from that shit-fest of a company and their insane lying.
 The creepy (for me), although unsurprising, part is their reliance on Cloudflare's custom, proprietary cloud infrastructure. This just screams "vendor lock-in" right in my face. I have spent the last two days working on making good quality SVG versions of the logo/symbols for #fediverse projects and I feel like it was worth it. I think the hard/less fun part of this project is getting them out there for all to use. I am pretty unfamiliar with submitting to Wikimedia Commons that is probably the best place for them to all live

@liaizon it's a nice attempt. I hope we see them being used in projects soon. By the way, do white versions of these exist? Those would be useful for dark themes.
