@liaizon @ivory @MonaApp @mannyapp @butter apple sells apps, they get their cut from the subs and in app purchases/donations. I don’t think the company is behind the “fediverse”, although a number of apple devs seem to have migrated here.

@liaizon it'll be very interesting to see whether htis leads to an upturn in signups from Mastodon. Kudos to them for including @ivory @MonaApp @mannyapp @butter and not just the "official" Mastodon app! But brickbats for ignoring the rest of the fediverse, oh well.
