Someone made a subreddit encouraging users to move to #Kbin (one of the #fediverse reddit type projects) and it was swiftly shutdown by #Reddit. This news is currently on the front page of HN.  Fediverse client apps need a seat at the table! This whole Reddit API fiasco shows the importance of this more them ever. Or are there any developer relations people from Meta already on the fediverse? How do we make contact? Is this just a coincidence?

 @liaizon @JeriLRyan @georgetakei Isn’t it downright strange that there’s a literal Federation here that has instances — physical instances — and there hasn’t been a.. United..attempt to have a…fleet..of servers named Enterprise, Hood, Farragut, Potemkin, Voyager, Defiant, Reliant, Valiant, etc?  Been having a lot of issues with @elk recently (It's been my main way to interact with the fediverse for many months now) so I am trying @phanpy and am very impressed with how far its come since last time I tried it. Using the default Mastodon FE seems ridiculous to me after using Elk for months so its nice to see how far away we can get from that in these different clients. :fediverse: If you have thoughts on the direction of the Discourse ActivityPub plugin, they are working on phase 2 of the specification now and are requesting feedback: [metadata for community reach #Dicsourse #Fediverse #FediDev #MastoDev #Lemmy #Pixelfed #Peertube #Pleroma @fediverse @fediversereport]  @liaizon @fediverse @fediversereport Whoa, having Discourse be a participant in the fediverse feels huge. Suddenly instead of each Discourse instance feeling like a mini walled garden…multiple ones can form a mesh which can be followed by folks at large on Mastodon and elsewhere.
