While looking up Pichação after watching the documentary I was searching Pixo which is what they translate it as in the documentary. I searched Wikipedia got to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixo which is the name of the iPod OS. I had no idea that Sun Microsystems was the one who made the iPod OS! What a tangent The new Lemmy Explorer at https://lemmyverse.net/communities is quite great. This is suddenly a totally new era for the fediverse. Remember you can join and post to any of these community groups from any other microblogging part of the fediverse like Mastodon, Pleroma, Akkoma, Misskey, Calkey, Friendica, etc.

@liaizon Very impressive! Already off to a great start. I feel like I can now move on from Reddit with no regrets. There is a new Lemmy app called Memmy in alpha right now! It's being made by @gkd and has a repo up at https://github.com/gkasdorf/memmy/ ok yeah there are many more spam blogs up there got to catch @gavcloud giving a last minute #TiddlyWiki presentation at the #ShowUsYourScreen event organized by @ojack I started this hellthread that blossomed some incredible conversations about the future of the fediverse.  @liaizon @technology I didn't know it was possible to post to #Lemmy communities from the #Fediverse, that's awesome! looking at the same post from: seems like monero town is running an older version that doesn't support hashtags in posts @liaizon @technology I wasn't big on twitter, but when Mastodon got popular in the wake of the twitter migration I saw an opportunity to capture back some of the joy in connecting with others that I felt had been kind of robbed over the years. Have been quite enjoying running a mastodon instance and now that lemmy and kbin are getting popular I want to keep things going! hey @noellabo@fedibird.com I think you might be the only one still running a Prismo instance still (I see you here @noellabo@prismo.fedibird.com) and I seem to remember you working on bringing the project back alive at somepoint. Do you know if there is anyone else still working on Prismo? I don't even know how I got sidetracked to this but found the ideas quite interesting https://communitywiki.org/wiki/MiniCubes hey @mariusor when I look up your handle @marius @brutalinks.tech it sends me to @marius @federated.id but then that doesn't link back to https://brutalinks.tech/~marius and opening the posts outside of mastodon results in a link to the raw json do you have a page that describes what sort of federation you have in place and what is still being figured out?  @liaizon yes, when I built all of that I didn't really plan to have it super compatible with Mastodon, which assumes that a HTML representation of the Actor can be found at their ID url, which in this case doesn't exist. The actor has the correct URLs in its url property, but Mastodon doesn't use that (I have a ticket open for that) So overall federation with Mastodon is not very good due to multiple issues on both sides. :( I sorta want one of these, seems like a good thing to have at the commune. def would just have to make one myself out of a rock cause this one is $50k lol @liaizon if you're interested (only around 220EUR): https://www.moaradecereale.ro/produse/moara-manuala-de-piatra-din-granit-baker-s-shop/  You can find small chunks of that type of fine mesh white granite FOR FREE here on the Alps!
