I think if I wanted to write software today, which has the best chance of still being runnable without modification in 30 years time, my best choice would be to write an HTML5 web app. I'm not sure what to think about that tbh...
@retr0id although to be fair (writing as co-author of several DCT-based image/video codecs and co-maintainer of JPEG de-/encoding libraries) JPEG really is so much more of a one trick pony than pretty much anything that came after it that once you're over that DCT hump, you're mostly there Here's the blog post! https://www.da.vidbuchanan.co.uk/blog/netflix-on-asahi.html
The Quest for Netflix on Asahi Linux ("do not violate the DMCA challenge 2023") I wrote a blog post giving an introduction to the PNG file format, aimed at anyone who wants to generate or parse their own PNGs (or who just wants to know how it works!)
https://www.da.vidbuchanan.co.uk/blog/hello-png.html I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Mastodon, is in fact, ActivityPub/Mastodon, or as I've recently taken to calling it, the Fediverse. Mastodon is not a social network unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning federated universe.
#FediTips A cryptobro DMed me to ask if I wanted to join his mailing list.
I spent slightly too long making this to send in reply. The image in this post displays its own MD5 hash.
You can download and hash it yourself, and it should still match - 1337e2ef42b9bee8de06a4d223a51337 I think this is the first PNG/MD5 hashquine. Closeups. They've shorted the CC lines, which is annoying, but I can just cut the trace
@retr0id@retr0.id twitter is like shouting into the void while fedi is like shouting at your friends who shout back but louder :akko_fingerguns: |
