"Update 28 April: Wheelchair & pain meds needed.
Mac is still paralyzed in the hind legs from his saddle thrombosis.
I am carrying him around to lay in different beds that he likes and to get in and out of the litter box, but it’s very frustrating for him, and he keeps dragging himself up and down the house with his back, just laying on the floor, so it looks like with the prognosis for recovery being very poor.
It’s time to look into a cat wheelchair..
Also, the pain has increased so it seems like it’s time to add a painkiller to his medication regimen.
Thankfully, my generous vets have been willing to give me free phone consultations through this process, but he really needs more diagnostics and medication that cost money in addition to the wheelchair..
