#caturday pointy weirdo (Amber), with a grumpy Mina (full of tuna) who is *just trying to nap* without all these feisty hyper young 'uns making a racket.. Get off my lawn! (blanket) Guess who racked up 200EUR at the vet today, to be told there's *nothing physically wrong* with her. (Took her in bc vomiting back, not eating, weight loss) She's over the virus, blood test mostly normal, no intestinal blockage etc. She's just..*very upset*β’οΈ (It started the day her sister Mina got ill.. and according to the blood sugar levels, she HAS been eating! Sneakily. At night probably) Wintness me! THEE Drama Queen. #committothebit #caturday kitties : Amber and Bluebell. (Taken a few days ago, it's Massive Thunderstormβ’οΈ all day today and gloomy as heck) She's home!!! (Quarantined in the bathroom: she's still virus-y and sneezing. I put Amber and Bluebell in for company as they had it already and have recovered) Cap greeted her sister, ate a little, then set about Official Site Inspection(TM) Lots of Strange Objects and smells in here.. Crazy cat person life, got all my ex-ferals in a row! Left β‘οΈ right: Amber, Bluebell, Cappuccino, Darcy. - Miralka seated behind. Only Mina is out of shot, she hates everyone π #WhiskersWednesday Mina is my most clingy cat, the neediest / kneadiest girl alive. She is Miralka's sister, half Tonkinese(?), VERY chatty, and has a cartoonish heart shaped white spot on her chest. 1 brain cell though π So hard to photograph, usual voidcat problems apply. Here's a rare moment she *stopped* rolling around/kneading and sat still.. I've been busy with vet appts and stuff to take nice photos for #caturday. This is Honey, a lovely cat I had a decade ago. She and her brothers were born in the basement of a house my parents rented. They kept all 3 kittens, and her last brother passed this year age 19. She liked to go for walks in the #forest with me, pose nicely (aka show off) for photos, and photo-bomb my jewelry shoots (usually with gratuitous butthole). RIP and greatly missed. Monty update: 2 days left of his Calicivirus treatment. π° Noticeably chipper, accepting belly rubs and back to his bitey rabbit self. π± Took 3 of the girls to the vet yesterday: clean bill of health. Booked their spaying for later this month. That's all the cats done! Nobody else has it, thank goodness. Darcy curled up against me furiously making biscuits. It's taken a full 2 years to get him to trust me this much and stop being so Frightened of Everything.. .. Alas, he has no idea if the despicable crimes against his person I plan to commit later π₯Ί Breach of trust, assault and false imprisonment (locked in a cat crate against his will and taken to vet) Monty update: talkative and playful, on day 3 of his Calicivirus medication. Mouths a bit puffy though. Hoping that's his immune response from fighting the virus. Thoughts and prayers, I have to get Darcy in a crate somehow before going to the vet.. He's still very much a feral cat, under that fragile skin of trust and affection. Boy am I about to test that later..π Cappuccino and Amber enjoying the sun this #WhiskersWednesday I saw their mum in the feral cat colony yesterday - like Bluebell, she's very small. I thought that was due to lack of food/having kittens young.. but these girls are *also* small. I researched genetic dwarfism in cats, but they show none of the characteristics for that.. they're just small?! ππ #photooftheday Harmony. It's only taken 2 years for my biting, bullying jealous little asshole Monty to realise having a friend is Nice, Actually. (Left: Monty Pythonicus/ Sir Bites-a-lot) (Right: Mr Darcy / Sir Hiss.) #caturday Cappuccino, with Bluebell in the background. (Assorted weirdo trills, chirps and off-key singing today because she's in heat - her voice is.. not one of her best features πΉ The spaying budget has gone on car tyres, and now Monty's teeth need looking at π¬ so another month of caterwauling kittens to look forward to. I'm booking them for September: third time's the charm.) #WhiskersWednesday Mr Darcy, refusing to let me go.. but.. I need to walk the dog!! Darcy: no!! π»πππ½πΎππ Can I recommend adopting a feral cat again, with all my heart? #caturday Mr Darcy teaching his niece the fine art of kneading. "Like this.." "Be sure to flex your claws, but careful, not *too much*. It makes the human yelp and breaks one's concentration.." (Out of shot is Bluebell, sitting on my legs, who slapped him for no reason a few moments later..π) |
