Yet another snowy day, which means it's a great day for hanging out by windows to watch the birds. Starting off #TongueOutTuesday with sleepy Primrose and helpful Petunia. :blobcatmlem: Vincent has been incredibly needy since I have returned. He doesn't like me to be away from him. Of course, in between him climbing onto my lap and shoulders and rubbing his face on my nose and my glasses, this is how he reacts when I try to take a photo of him. Back at my old house after a trip to my new house, and it's good to see my cats haven't changed. Simon: still trying to grab that pesky tail. Sumie: still a silly girl. At my new house I spent some more time setting up my room. Got another bookshelf and assembled what will be my second desk (I need lots of space to accommodate all the cats). The art will all eventually hang on the walls but the new desk gave me a temporary display spot while unpacking. Simon is ushering in #WhiskersWednesday with the tiniest and quietest chirp he can make (may need headphones to hear it, but it's there). Normally he's the loudest and most vocal of the cats. Sometimes I really wonder how Sumie can breathe when she is being subjected to Petunia's cuddling. I'm getting the vague feeling that someone might need some attention, hmm. :blobcatthonkang: #Caturday Update: The platform I bought to go over my laptop has been a great success at keeping the cats from stomping across the keyboard while I'm working. Now they can just plop down and block the screen instead. :blobcatcry: Poor Simon. I moved the scratching post to clean, and Mina stole his favorite perch! Fortunately she didn't hog it forever and eventually relinquished it. Simon was able to get back to the pressing matter of chasing his own tail. The curtain in my bedroom hangs right over one of the air vents, so sometimes it gets positioned just right to billow out on its own. 👻 However, I saw a suspicious shadow lurking under it this time. :blobcatknifepeek: I lured Lydia out with some treats. :blobcatcheer2: Simon has a number of strategies to beg for treats. Here he is lurking under my desk while employing his "subtle" kitty-cat eyes at me. |
