The happy end to this cat story is we officially adopted him on December first. He’s very quickly becoming a member of the family. Sleeps a lot but he deserves it.

Here’s a photo of the cat who is now known as Freddie from early April, 2023 when we first met him. This cat was curious but cautious and obviously taken care of.

In September this cat started showing up here again. Crying mournfully in the night. It became clear he’d been abandoned.
