 Well, the boys seem to have largely accepted the Christmas tree by now. They still bat at the ornaments, which I find in random places, but they haven't destroyed the tree like I expected. They like to sit under it like Christmas catloaves. It's definitely not Silent Night, but it's not all hell breaking loose. My former ferals are indoor cats now. In the summer, they definitely try to get outside after the birds and squirrels (one reason they're not allowed out). But when it's snowing it's very clear they both remember harsh winter weather in the past. They're always very calm and content on days like this. If I ever have a personal coat of arms it's going to contain a double cat, like so. Look at this good, brave boy at the vet. Granted, he was trying to hide under the towel, hence the mess on his fur, but he was very sweet and put up with his whole exam and his shots. His weight is okay, his teeth were fine, and he's got all his vaccines now. He's under the sofa like "The horror, the horror," but he's made it through another wellness visit. Lucky knows the deal on #Caturday but he doesn't have to be happy about it. I agree. At least half of these apply to my cats, especially the last one. I will continue to be a #CatLady as long as the little doofuses who show up here continue to make me laugh this much. And as long as it ticks off JD Vance. Kind of a bonus. This happens so much I made a meme out of it. My former street fighter cats are all picky about their food now. :catmoji_tears: I'd change the point to say it's really about who insists on a designer pet vs who takes in whatever shows up, but yeah, Cat Distribution System people rescue animals and piss off Nazis. I am proud to have been repeatedly chosen. My neighbor gave me a cat bench with a nice soft cushion on top. Both boys love it, but under the bench is just as hot a spot as the cushion.
