This is extremely counterintuitive (and therefore interesting) to me

 @darius naive guesses at contributing factors: @jplebreton there's also my followup which is that if "every day have never been googled before" means "unique prior to 24 hours ago but not within the last 24 hours" @darius @jplebreton only an incredibly weaselly person would phrase it that way if that's what they meant, so you are probably correct |
I do wonder if this is a 24-hour window, so like if 10,000,000 people googled "ukraine invasion nuclear plant" and its variants yesterday, would that have been 10,000,000 "never googled before" or just idk 1000 for the 1000 different ways a person could phrase that
