By the way, the much-hyped systemd-bsod is actually a bit of a misnomer.

systemd-bsod is meant to highlight a boot error if one occurs. Windows BSOD is actually more akin to Linux/Unix Kernel Panic.

Which, in my opinion, needs its own screen in Linux also, or better, a debugger prompt like in BeOS when it panics. Because as it stands, if we're in the graphical environment (which most of us are), the only way we can tell Linux has panicked is when it just freezes.

(it doesn't happen as often as in Windows, but it does happen, nothing is perfect)
