These spam account are everywhere, not just in the fediverse. I'm talking Twitter, FB, Pintrest, IG, tumblr, gifyu, reddit, Github, Google Play Store, DeviantArt, sketchfab, Furaffinity, gitbook, animeforum, mozilla addons, ....... It's not right.
(That's my strategy)
Anyway, I recommend blocking them unless you like botnet adverts all up in your business. :comfyshrug: :boost_ok:
@catsalad For some reason, my follows are very ad-free - I rarely get to see these things. You have a nice account collection though! I think I'll get one on mathstodon so that I can TeX with other math nerds.
