@lanodan oh interesting I didn't see that fedidb.org/current-events/thre was cleaned up a bit. I wonder how that was even done.

@liaizon If I remember correctly @dansup just banned the fake instances from fedidb.

@lanodan @liaizon I didn’t ban them, just used MAU in some cases. The audit log lists instances that I banned or hidden.

To remove spam signups counts from Lemmy, I checked if MAU exceeds 5% of reported total users, if not, I’d use the MAU as total users.
