I've released version 2.0.0 of my RSS to ActivityPub converter! This now provides functionality I'd hacked in to rss.friend.camp - it requires OAuth 2.0 authorization for someone to create a new AP account for an RSS feed.

I used to run this service "in the open" but was overwhelmed by spammers. Now the admin of a Mastodon (or Pleroma or any federated server that is an OAuth 2 provider) can provide this converter as a service solely to members of their instance.

@mike nope no database migration needed or anything. It creates some new records in a new table if one doesn't exist.

This is awesome, and it's just the kind of thing I was looking for and I might use it! I wish I'd known about Express ActivityPub Server as I have questions/thoughts on it.

There are a lot of moving pieces to this- the AP server, beanstalk, the OAuth server- maybe a longer tutorial would be good about helping all the pieces fit?

Also can I contact you about what I'm doing and maybe areas of possible intersection?

@vega @humanetech anyone can subscribe to a feed like @r_SeriousEats from anything that reads activitypub feeds. but only people with accounts on camp can *create* feeds

@darius Hi, it looks like the instance isn't working with rage.love - putting account or individual post links into search doesn't generate anything at all. Checked with an instance admin & they're not sure if anything's wrong on RL's end. Any ideas from your end?
