@Mastodon I would love to have the ability to have an account in a list without having them in my home timeline. I tried muting, but that also mutes them in the list.

@niavy @Mastodon This is *exactly* what I was trying to do as well. The news bots I follow tend to barf up like 10 posts in a row, and I don't like seeing that in my timeline, but I *do* want to read them when I get around to it.

Fedilab let's you do this. Being able to manage lists is pretty important to filter and streamline content.

I've not seen anything thread well yet though. I have some folks I follow who post long threads that I know after the first item I'm not interested in, but still get all the self replies...

@thecesspit @Mastodon Yeah, there should be an option in the client to post self-replies as 'unlisted' or something similar.
