I actually almost wrote decentralization instead of "mastodon" since I think decentralized/federated is more accurate (i.e. I'm not sure it will end up being mastodon or some other federated system) but "mastodon" felt like a punchier synecdoche.  @ethanschoonover @gikiski congrats!
