Wilson's always been quite full of himself. The type of guy to make a music video using deepfakes to turn himself into Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Mark Zuckerberg (among others),

without actually saying anything about them.

Just that "look what I referenced I am so smrt" style.

And see barely anyone calling him on it?

I don't want to slag off the guy, he can make great music. Porcupine Tree has some killer songs, and his solo output has some fantastic parts! ("Hand. Cannot. Erase" is probably my favorite album of his and it's quite recent, this isn't a case where he got bad, he was always this way)

But even PT had that pretentious streak - a lot of Fear Of A Blank Planet lyrically was just "kids nowadays aren't like kids in my day, which is bad".

(also he seems to hate prescription meds)
