@efi nothing can travel faster than light in a vacuum, but light does not travel instantly. Also, the speed of light depends on the medium. In some circstances it's even possible for other particles to travel faster than light https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherenkov_radiation @yogthos I mean, I do know this, but I like the idea of a slow-motion video actually slowing down light itself instead of, y'kno, what it actually does @efi in this case we're just seeing the movement of the glowing gas, but there are cameras that can see light wave propagation though, which is indeed mind blowing https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoImsCcgi5Q @yogthos goddess, I had seen these clips, but I didn't know how they made them, now it makes sense @yogthos That’s pretty cool. It might work layered as a special effect for an explosion. @yogthos Slow-mo (but unfortunately not as slow as yours) flash paper being sparked. @yogthos cool! I wish I could have one of these when I spray a mosquito 😄 |
@yogthos not even a huge fan of cigarettes, but I smoke somewhere between two and four a year socially when meeting with friends who smoke more regularly.
But damn, that gif makes me want one.
