@yogthos i mean that's how we would say it too. they're not much different from america, they're just pretending to be communist. and they're much more direct with their authoritarianism.

That's an incredibly ignorant statement to make.
If China was just pretending to be communist then we'd see the same things happening in China that we see happening in actual capitalist countries. A particularly good comparison is how China and India developed respectively.
China is practically the only country where any meaningful poverty reduction is happening, where public infrastructure is built at scale, and where workers have actual representation.
