Much like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and other games, it can also entirely reboot your Steam Deck.

@gamingonlinux As in, the game may crash & force reboot the SD? I have HZD but haven't played it yet.

@gamingonlinux Yikes. Is that a random thing, or does it happen at a certain part of the game? How many times has it crashed for you so far? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

@gamingonlinux
CryoByte did an analysis on God of War and managed to fix the crashing:

@tau thanks I am fully aware of their scripts but the vast majority wonโ€™t do that and itโ€™s a โ€œVerifiedโ€ game

I've provided Valve multiple crash log files for it now, here's to hoping they find the issues.

@gamingonlinux Is the game calling things that aren't implemented in vkd3d-proton yet?

@gamingonlinux Good work. I think i will stave off the hunger by replaying the originals.

@gamingonlinux Mmmm! These is really strange Liam I'm not sure what's happening , I've just finished horizon zero dawn 65 hours completely on the steam deck (I have no other gaming device ). I'm currently playing God of war on the steam deck no crashes so far and 2 1/2 hours in. Would it be beneficial to reset the steam deck to factory install and start again ?
