@cliophate Just because other sites do similar, does not in any way make it right. There are various stringent privacy laws for a reason. Only fools stick up for it.

@cliophate put it this way, the JSAUX store breaks basically all privacy laws in the UK and EU - why even remotely defend it? It’s also only one part of the issue overall.

@gamingonlinux Liam, I'm aware of the laws, it's my job. I integrated consent management at my company.

And I'm not defending anyone. It's a company, company are not our friends. I don't give a shit about any company but my own.

I'm just saying your argument is a bit weak. The policy alone is not enough. It just means they use services like Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

The stronger argument is that they have no consent management or cookie policy. Or my browser blocks it?

@cliophate i already laid out the argument in the video. If you’re aware of the laws…why are we even discussing this? Look closer, at least 5 marketing companies being loaded.

@gamingonlinux Because I'm telling you as an internet friend, but the people who are hating on you, might use it against you. But no one could contradict you if you mention the lacking consent policy because that is a sound argument. That is breaking law.

@cliophate …that is exactly one of the things I’ve been mentioning this whole time…

@gamingonlinux Mea culpa then, I based my toot on your YouTube post, where you focus on the policy again.

(Again, not hating you or anything! I want to make that clear.)
