@grishka @Hyolobrika is this necessarily the case? there are torrent clients that run in the browser.
@joeri @Hyolobrika those abuse WebRTC as far as I know and thus aren't compatible with traditional torrent clients. You can't create arbitrary TCP connections from the browser. @grishka @Hyolobrika If you try out Peergos you'll see that users do not need to ever see a key, or do any key management (This is a design requirement). It's all done automatically (in the client!) when they decide to share something, or change their password etc. Encryption and privacy shouldn't only be for people smart enough to understand how to use PGP. |
@Hyolobrika P2P requires client software. E2E adds the complexity of key management which is unacceptable for most users.
