@Gargron @vriska Multiple hundreds of degrees hot water is not possible in either temperature scale unless you're in a high-pressure chamber, it'll steam right off down to the boiling point.

The coffee was kept at 190 °F ≈ 90 °C, just below the boiling point, while the hot water in your pipes is usually not allowed to be hotter than around 55 °C for safety reasons.
