Gregory's Server@mhoye apparently WSL2 is... really really shockingly good. I may give it a shot. (I tried the beta of WSL1 and it was too janky for my needs.)

@darius Yeah, 1 was "the marvel is not that the bear dances well" material, particularly considering NTFS performance which lol, but 2 is surprisingly good.
