@yogthos isn't that expected? China is a "pretty large" country, and a very industrialized nation.

@yogthos if Japan knows what's good for them, they better start setting their mecha anime in China now.

(For context, it wasn't that long ago that Japan had the most advanced and widely used robots, which inspired a lot of anime about robots.)

@AgreeableLandscape fun fact US forced Japan to sabotage their economy when Japan started pulling ahead, and they tried to use this playbook with China recently with the whole Huawei sanctioning

@yogthos this is exactly what the spoiled rich kid in high school does. They see you getting better grades, and instead of trying to work harder to get as good grades, they get their daddy to threaten to sue the teacher.
