@darius I got a 2018 mbp b/c I was getting sick of linux on my previous laptop (ironically I always seem to be switching to mac when people switch away and vice versa) and I’d sort of given up waiting for something else to come along, and ever since I started doing tensorflow stuff and WSL became usable in like ~2016 I feel like windows has been fine actually and I do most work/gaming on my desktop, but I was expecting to be able to do more research on this project while traveling this week…
@axfelix yeah my workflow these days is I use my Windows gaming machine and then dual boot into Ubuntu if I need to do some serious programming work. For lighter work I just ssh into a linux box from windows. (I tried the whole Ubuntu on Windows thing and it didn't stick for me)
