@TonyStark I think it is literally an electoral liability for a Democratic politician to wish Trump well. It is the opposite of energizing your voting base. You don't have to (and shouldn't!) stir people up with hate but you also shouldn't make people who might vote for you depressed and feeling like politics is just a big country club where everyone ultimately is looking out for each other.

I don't think it's depressing for the base to see our candidate being decent. It surely doesn't demotivate me.
I happened to have a focus group scheduled this morning not knowing, of course, that this would happen. 25 to 0 think being kind about it is a plus. Swing state, registered Dems and some swing voters.
Obviously you're entitled to feel how you do, though. ✌
