The 500kg bomb from World War II was discovered during construction work at the corner of Persiusstraße and Bödikerstraße, roughly between Spree and Ostkreuz station. Police specialists must defuse it before it can be removed. Before that, all people have to leave the area, which can take hours. "Our forensics team is already on the scene. Buildings in the vicinity have already been evacuated and rail traffic temporarily restricted for the investigation."

@liaizon apparently this is happening more than usual recently because the drought is revealing lots of bombs in the rivers instead of just randomly when construction is done
