"Pixelfed could be fun and useful to try. However, if you are looking for a more robust crowd size for social networking, you will probably have to look elsewhere." @liaizon I wonder if someone were to contact them about it, if they'd make a correction. Looks like they made some other mistakes and had them corrected, but those were from companies. It's hard to say if the Verge would care about us. Their description does kindof ignore what's probably the singular reason to choose Pixelfed over the alternatives @palomakop yeah I think they just really didn't understand what they were looking at, which is too bad because it mostly means its our fault for not explaining it clearly enough |
@pixelfed the text is totally confused as to how it works though, seemingly didn't do the slightest bit of research as to what is actually going on
"Be aware, though, that the most popular server, pixelfed.social, which boasts 54,200 users, was not accepting new registrations when I signed in. The next English-language server available seemed to be shared.graphics, which, at the time I checked it, boasted a little under 1,250 users."
