I am currently making a local copy of all my blog posts into obsidian so I can cross reference stuff I have written about to better understand my own life. this feels somehow important. I also forgot how much of the last two years I was actually writing stuff which is interesting. I think I forgot a lot.

@liaizon what's obsidian (I assume you don't mean the mineral)

Tykayn

@liaizon
haha i have been doing that too for orgmode from wordpress data base exports in json.

forge.chapril.org/tykayn/org-r
also working for mastodon db export

planning to add some more sources of stuff i have written.

also this is very nice to organize links and see things with org-roam-ui.
i tried obsidian but having it not libre software made me go away and opt for a simple org and mark down solution

@tykayn I would love to use org mode or org compliant but havent found a interface that works for me yet. I am not quite proficient in operating everything out of a terminal

Tykayn

@liaizon you don't have to use a terminal at all, i commonly use the GUI :)

i have this .emacs config, which loads the config.org file, which has many comments for me to remember what does each part
forge.chapril.org/tykayn/scrip

forge.chapril.org/tykayn/scrip

anyway, whatever you use which is working for you is the most important

@tykayn had to look this up and read a bit cause I didnt know emacs had one nativity at all. seems a little confusing but I def want to try it out. I sorta hate that I am even attempting to integrate any new proprietary software into my life rn so learning a system that has these features that are actually stable and will exist in the long term is definitely on my horizon

@liaizon may the force be with you, you can also follow for tags in the fediverse about #orgmode and #emacs, you will find many people to help you around
