@liaizon have you checked infrastructure studies? Might be in journals rather than books, but your focus would be met.

@liaizon I would probably start with a web search about infrastructure studies and journal, and then look through the issue topics. Also anthropology could work. Do you have an institutional affiliation? Otherwise it is sometimes difficult to get the full article, but abstracts should be available on the journal's website. (I can help with access when I am back in 10 days if needed.)
