Gregory's Serverplaying with this yoga book I was given thats still running windows 11. my friend reset it before giving it to me so I started fresh with the windows setup. really strange how few default apps come with it. I said no to a "trial" of outlook so now there isn't even an email or address book client

I had to go buy a 9euro usb micro to usb A "female" adapter cause I wanted to try to get linux installed and that seems like the only way to plug in a flash drive... lol wow its easy to "activate windows" by just typing some bullshit into the command prompt  @liaizon Basically all it takes to bypass Microsoft DRM is a server that answers "Yes, you have an active enterprise license." And a bunch of people started putting these servers on the public Internet... They come and go because of DMCA, but at this point, I don't think Microsoft even cares unless you're a million-dollar company available for a lawsuit. |
writing this now on a mechanical keyboard that was given to me at ccc a few years ago that has been sitting in a box in my friends house here in berlin this whole time. @palomakop gave me a set of white blank keycaps and I am trying them out right now. a lot of deleting and retyping to get out of the habit of looking at the keys!
