@gamingonlinux and now, with the latest version of the Android app (2.9+), there are also new-post push notifications (they were missing from the app before, only via the browser I believe) like Twitter had.

Very useful for news profiles (without audio though).

It seems, feature-wise, Mastodon is the best Twitter replacement.
