@belghast Yep, the strays I leave food and water for outside my building have also been greeting me with some "where have you been, what time is this?" looks. XD Because of my odd work hours nowadays (getting home a lot later to provide dinner many nights), I think she's gradually accepted eating a bit later in the morning to ensure she's not crazy hungry come evening. I think she figured out that when I put a little extra dry food in her bowl before going to work that it's gonna be a late night before I can get her that wet food she likes so much. @CaffeinatedBookDragon I hear you, I do something similar when I know I'm gonna be late, and maybe give them a couple of extra treats too. She'll be happier when I get my sleep schedule back up to spec and finish fixing my exercise equipment. In the mornings I'd work out in my shed and she comes in every time. Probably helps that I put boards in the rafters for her to play around and nap on while I do some cardio. I have to tempt her down from the rafters with those dental catnip-flavored treats (and sometimes climb a ladder to get her down again, but oh well... a few extra calories burned--hee hee) @fringemagnet I feel her pain. Look, if the powers that be donβt take note of our grumblings about adjusting clocks, could they at least believe our cats? @reinesis "I know I'm supposed to be eating right now and you ain't fooling me with your human-conceived bs!" @fringemagnet "how am I supposed to be able to read the clock, Annie, HOW?" @reinesis Several scientific studies have concluded that embracing chaos requires a high protein intake, frequent meals, hydration, and approximately 12 mini chicken and tuna creamy bites on a daily basis. @fringemagnet which is unattainable with current state of affairs, right? @reinesis I am lenient on creamy bites, but I draw the line on the demands to have a second, third, fourth, and fifth breakfast. XD @fringemagnet judging by that toot alone, you'd run a VERY tight ship with hobbits. @reinesis Those hobbits got nothing on my Tiffie. I had to get her a slow feeding bowl otherwise she'd eat her food in seconds then go and attempt to eat her sister's food, then come and try to grab whatever is on my plate, and if all else fails she'd go into starving orphan mode. XD @fringemagnet @catsalad lol our cats started an hour earlier yelling then the old time in protest @fringemagnet And she'll be extra grateful for just as long in spring when she gets earlier feedings, right? |
@fringemagnet our babies... both inside and the outdoor ferals... are not happy either
