@raph @seachanger I think from now on all replies to bad faith arguments should result in quick dismantling of the argument, efficient redirection back to the correct framing of the issue, followed by a mandatory “… this is what we need to discuss, mmm?” in Italian accent. @raph if you want to read her background & what she's had to say at greater length @raph the really important question that Israel has never answered is "Do you think Palestine has a right to exist?" If you read the Likud Charter, the answer is "NO". What about Hamas? These arguments are Masterclass in framing, and framing used to engaged the moral sentiments of their audiences. Because the framing about Israel has always implied a counter to the Holocaust, and that framing has been used to obliterate that the argument anlso applies to Palestinians. @GhostOnTheHalfShell @raph your argument is too complex for me. Hamas had two elements. 1) the social infrastructure to make life bearable for the Palestinians of Gaza; 2) a military wing opposed to oppression by Israel. More than that requires detailed knowledge of what was going on before 7 October. No, my comment was strictly about framing. The correct framing is the one that correctly identifies the ethical issue at hand, so aptly identified in the video. The single, most important aspect of any public affairs is going to be deciding what moral question is the relevant one. she’s made amazing argument to restate what is relevant. @raph That's like asking if Nazis have the right to exist and based on their genocidal actions in Gaza ...so the answer is NO! This is perhaps most the most brilliant litigation of the situation to date. She’s deafty sliced off the distinction between nationalism and the human race. |
@raph Well said
