 Seriously. Every single time lmao, Mastodon is like clockwork, people will jump into messages about how they hate whatever it is I mention I'm on elsewhere, how it's terrible and so on. Look: I genuinely don't care. I have always been on multiple social networks. I'm giving you options, not telling you to use anything, and this Mastodon account is clearly not going anywhere. 14 comments
@mookie yeah, it's definitely a problem with zealot attitudes on Mastodon, "reply guys" giving their anti-opinion on everything that isn't Mastodon for social networking, it gets tiring to read @gamingonlinux Agreed! I still remember the endless debates about things like quote toots and stuff. Sigh. @gamingonlinux literally started following you here, on masto, yesterday because of FediFollows promoting and .. "lmao Mastodon" is the take I don't give a crap if you're on other social networks, genuinely, but this reads like you're only here for the clout and otherwise you don't like it. fair enough  @gamingonlinux agreed. I love mastodon and the the idea of it. But sometimes I think people don't understand how difficult the culture is around here. I noticed some people mentioning how starter packs are nice at Bluesky and why they don't exist here at Mastodon. And people just get up in their feelings and it's always like "that's not how we do things here." No further discussion. It just seems so antagonistic. But love the technology and the idea of it. So I will continue to use both. @gamingonlinux I, for one, am happy youโre everywhere. Thank you. There are so many people I want to follow that are still only on X. @gamingonlinux Mastodon is so much better than other options, it's not even fair. If only it had proper DMs and RTs... oh well...   @gamingonlinux For not caring and while having the post muted, you do seem to care very much. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ @gamingonlinux I find these starter packs a great idea that the Fediverse should do as well. It solves the problem of the missing initial seed and an empty Timeline. @gamingonlinux All the people DM'ing you to cry about how Bluesky is so evil makes me think of this lol.. @gamingonlinux - if you think it's bad here then you haven't been on Lemmy (which I happen to love) |
