@Lizette603_23 Got them from the nearest no-kill shelter (in Nova Scotia) where I’d gotten my last cat (Pica) ~20 years ago. They are litter-mates; does that make them fraternal twins? (I have no clue.)

@Lizette603_23 They have recalibrated cuteness for me — especially together. It was time. I’ve been without a cat since early 2019. Also been without a dog since 2014, but cats suit me better right now. It never even occurred to me to split them up. How could I? I live mere minutes from the NS border; Amherst is closer than NB’s largest city (Moncton). My family’s from NS, though they’re pretty much all gone, now. The #RipleyAndJonesy hashtag has lots of cuteness to offer. ;) @tantramar I am watchin them grow up with you. SO CUTE. Our last two were in a age together and we were told they were brothers Not true but we never loved them any less their entire 16 years with us. One was really dumb one was impishly smart and you can imagine the antics. You seem to have two magical angel imps lolol @Lizette603_23 This multiple-fathers-per-litter thing was something I learned about during my visit to the shelter. @Lizette603_23 at the rate I’m taking photos and shooting video, I’m gonna need a bigger iPhone. @tantramar hahahahahahahahah (slapping cig out of your mouth and getting you an external hard drive) @Lizette603_23 from the look of these two, it doesn’t feel like much of a stretch to say they had the same father. @Lizette603_23 That’s true! (I haven’t really thought any of this through; mostly dealing with picking up everything they’ve knocked over and trying to keep the litterbox cleanish while shovelling kibbles into their bowls hourly). |
@tantramar No, cats usually can't be proven to be fraternal anything, since multiple cats can be created by multiple fathers during one pregnancy. But damn, these two are ADORABLE! What made you go looking for them? I never got to visit Nova Scotia, where so many of my relatives from the past travelled to.
