@Lizette603_23 Got them from the nearest no-kill shelter (in Nova Scotia) where Iβd gotten my last cat (Pica) ~20 years ago. They are litter-mates; does that make them fraternal twins? (I have no clue.)  @tantramar No, cats usually can't be proven to be fraternal anything, since multiple cats can be created by multiple fathers during one pregnancy. But damn, these two are ADORABLE! What made you go looking for them? I never got to visit Nova Scotia, where so many of my relatives from the past travelled to. @Lizette603_23 They have recalibrated cuteness for me β especially together. It was time. Iβve been without a cat since early 2019. Also been without a dog since 2014, but cats suit me better right now. It never even occurred to me to split them up. How could I? I live mere minutes from the NS border; Amherst is closer than NBβs largest city (Moncton). My familyβs from NS, though theyβre pretty much all gone, now. The #RipleyAndJonesy hashtag has lots of cuteness to offer. ;) @tantramar I am watchin them grow up with you. SO CUTE. Our last two were in a age together and we were told they were brothers Not true but we never loved them any less their entire 16 years with us. One was really dumb one was impishly smart and you can imagine the antics. (I havenβt really thought any of this through; mostly dealing with picking up everything theyβve knocked over and trying to keep the litterbox cleanish while shovelling kibbles into their bowls hourly). @tantramar All of that sounds about right. I hope you wake up in a pile of kitty bellies too  @noondlyt Itβs been over 2 weeks and Iβm *just beginning* to be able to reliably tell them apart when I canβt see their faces. @noondlyt She has a full white upper lip; his forearms are both white; heβs maybe 10β15% bigger. @noondlyt these differences are easy to spot in a still photo, but when theyβre a blur of wrestling kitten itβs not so easy to tell them apart!   @tantramar They're so precious! πππ But why do they look so guilty? π |
