@lcheylus Sigh. If they produced it, I might be obligated to buy one. The question is whether to put it together myself or have the Theory of Computation students do it.

@peterdrake @lcheylus that is an amazing moc and I’d love to build one (and pay for the instructions). But why oh why did the creator submit it to Lego Ideas and thus transfer his copyright to them?

@tillgrallert @lcheylus Does LEGO pay such designers? If so, maybe x% of LEGO's sales is more than 100% of what they could get selling it on their own?

Till Grallert

@peterdrake @lcheylus I don’t know whether Lego pays the original designs of successful Ideas applications but I am pretty certain that they won’t pay unsuccessful applicants, who still have to transfer copyright upon submission.

Even if the Idea will be successfull. Lego will kill it, destroy it and put stickers on it. If you want your idea to be published as it is sell it via a moc store or go to MouldKing 🙈.

@burnoutqueen @lcheylus You can go on the website and tell them you like the idea for the low low price of your email address.

@lcheylus I am capable of speech only to the extent of stating that I am speechless.

Nocta

@lcheylus I have no use for it (except as teaching material if I become a computer teacher someday or something) but I want one :<

@lcheylus kids should be learning this stuff in school 🏫 Forget whiteboarding. Build it.
