The economic system isn't the problem. Hell, the development of the technology was likely heavily funded by the government. The problem is the government (lack of regulation on one example and deliberately oppressive on the other).

Capitalism is vastly more than an "economic system", and state and capitalism go hand in hand (the soviet union was no exception).

Of course the economy and the state go hand in hand. It's in the state interest to be deeply involved in the economy, which is why the solution isn't memeing about capitalism rather government reform
