Gregory's ServerRSS is great because you can subscribe to things without having to give away personal data. Because you don’t have to wade through garbage to find the cool shit. Because you can let the computer do the obsessive refreshing. Because what you read on the Internet is your own damn business.

  @david @kobilacroix Less is better than none, though. I mean, if for some reason you -must- monetize your blog, there's always the option to put out an "above the fold" feed. @kobilacroix where do you find RSS that have the entire content? Most of the ones I find have only a small blurb.  @david The Android app Feeder (available on F-Droid) allows downloading the entire post as an option when opening them and that's what I use. @DrewNaylor Feeder is also available for iOS (and macOS). Sadly when showing entire article (at this point a web browser, not RSS reader anymore) it uses its own web rendering engine, so it seems, so no ad blocker. 😩 |
