Gregory's ServerI've got good news for those who want to use our new author bylines feature. It won't be necessary to e-mail us to request your website to be manually approved any longer. If you navigate to Edit Profile → Verification on the web, you'll find a new section called Author Attribution where you can control which websites can credit you in link previews.

 @Gargron I’m assuming it’s only available for mastodon.social accounts right now. Will that option be included in 4.3 or a minor update to 4.2?  @Gargron I'm trying, I've configured 4 of my sites and blogs, but I still don't see the byline: cache issue or my wrong settings?   @glyph One thing to note is that if a link preview has already been generated before it will not update until 2 weeks have passed and the link gets posted again. Have you added the meta tag and saved the permitted domains in your settings before posting the link? @Gargron no, I posted the link about 10 minutes before I saw this. It's a bit inscrutable to have caching periods that long and no visibility into them.
