 @inquiline every year the gap between my leftist friends and normie friends grows wider, to the point where I just avoid politics for the most part with normies. idk where even to start anymore  @seachanger Yeah. Birth order plays a role here; on some level she is primed to at least indulge me a little bit because Big Sister. But... we're also less close than we used to be because she went hard Back To Normal in the pandemic so that's been weird and sad @inquiline I often fantasize about doing blog posts specifically designed to span that info gap, short and easy to read and digest and funny etc but for some reason I just… don’t  @seachanger I sometimes feel similarly, and I'm worried about it. Any left vision or project needs the "normies"! I try to exercise my ability to express ideas in plain common-sense language so you don't gotta have read Marx or anything to get it; Sanders and AOC are good at this. @inquiline |
