The Wedale Bookshop

Hello! We are a small independent bookshop in Stow, in the Scottish Borders. We are no longer using Twitter, for obvious reasons, but could use some new followers on Mastodon and other social media channels - where our presence is smaller than on Twitter. Please help / share this is you can! Thank you.

Wait.
The alt-text of the (beautiful) drawing talks about "Lucas the cat".

Now, I need more information here: Is Lucas a true bookstore cat or a regular/frequent visitor?

Just curious and taking the occasion of #WorldCatDay and a slight abuse of the hashtags #CatsOfMastodon and #MastoCats to spread the word about your wonderful #bookstore

Ecaillette

@WedaleBooks best from bookshop cooperative #Lesezeichen in #Kempten , Germany.
And a Bookshelf cat for #worldcatday !

@WedaleBooks welcome to the fediverse, I know it can be scary for businesses who think they might not have as much reach as they did on xitter but I think you'll find the community here a lot more engaged. Don't forget to use the hashtag #books :)

Ps. You've reached Ottawa, Canada

@WedaleBooks Are you ignoring Threads with its 200 million users and a healthy author and bookseller community?

@WedaleBooks welcome to the #fediverse: even if you're on a #mastodon instance, people on #pleroma, #pixelfed, #kbin, #lemmy instances and many, many more can follow you! and have special hopes to see you publish smth for #bookwyrm users too… or boost some of their book reviews ;-)

@WedaleBooks I am a frog and book eating French, and I’m quite frustrated when I want to grab English books, in many case French bookshop are unable to order them.

Do you have any advice ? Would you be able to ship a box of books on the continent ?
